Piercing Info
Things to Know Before Getting Pierced
- It’s always best to be pierced in as natural a state as possible. It’s better not to be pierced under adverse circumstances.
- If you’re sick or under the weather, please wait until you’re feeling better before getting pierced.
- Make sure to eat something a few hours before you come in. Getting pierced on an empty stomach may cause you to feel faint, nauseated, or dizzy.
- Allow plenty of time for your visit. Your tattoo session will be most enjoyable if you have time to appreciate it.
- Proper hygiene is extremely important before & after getting pierced. Fresh clothing and a recent shower will get your new piercing off to a great start.
- A valid, government issued photo ID is required by law. We can’t assist you without it.
Drugs & Alcohol
We reserve the right to refuse service to any client that appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Pain killers, aspirin, ibuprofen, and anesthetics are not required prior to being pierced. In fact, most will usually compromise the experience and may possibly cause problems, such as increased bleeding.
Age Policy for Body Piercing
All clients must present a valid, government issued, photo ID. Michigan law states that clients under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian’s written permission.
- age 12-13: earlobes only
- age 14-17: all piercings EXCEPT surface anchors, genital, and tongue
- age 18+: all piercings
- please note: it is this studio’s policy that tongue, nipple, and genital piercing will not be done on individuals under the age of 18, regardless of parental consent. NO EXCEPTIONS!
MINORS
In additin to parental consent, you will also need the following:
- parent/guardian must accompany the minor to the appointment and be present during the procedure
- presentatin of the parent/guardian AND minor’s valid government issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or military ID)
- if the parent/guardian and child do not share the same last name, a birth certificate or proof of legal guardianship is required!

The cost of jewelry is additional. Jewelry prices vary according to size, style, and type of metal you choose (implant grade steel, titanium, solid 18k or 14k gold). We also offer two excellent anti-microbial liquid soaps for the cleaning and aftercare of your piercing.
Appointment Policy
Piercing procedures are available for walk-in and appointment basis. We strongly suggest making appointment to avoid long waiting periods. Walk-ins are taken on a first-come first-serve basis and are worked around our scheduled appointments.
PLEASE do not walk-in and expect to be pierced immediately. Time is needed for pre-piercing assessment (to ensure you have the appropriate anatomy to be pierced safely), paperwork, jewelry selection, in addition to proper room disinfection and set-up between clients.
FYI
- We wil not pierce the navel of anyone who has had an appendectomy or tummy tuck surgery. Scar tissue form the surgery can result in a lack of blood flow which is necessary in order to heal the piercing.
- Not under any circumstance will we re-pierce any previously pierced area of the body more than twice, even if the area is completely healed. Scar tissue form the previous piercing can result in a lack of blood flow, which is necessary for healing.
Should I Tip My Piercer?
Tipping is a really nice gesture, so yes!
